Stanton Correctional Facility capacity is listed as 365 beds in the 2022-2023 Civil Grand Jury report, and the BSCC rated-capacity workbook also lists Stanton at 365 rated beds. The Civil Grand Jury table reported 243 average housed in 2022, or 67 percent occupied. That made Stanton the most occupied of the three county detention facilities by percentage in the report's July 2022 comparison. The figure is still an average from a specific reporting period, not a live custody count for any one day.

Stanton's higher occupancy is one reason facility assignment must be checked on the roster rather than assumed from arrest location or sentence type. The county jail population changes with arrests, booking releases, bail, no-bail holds, court orders, classification, and transfers. A person listed at Stanton today may later move to Justice Center, Claybank, another custody system after sentencing, or release.

Stanton Visiting Rules

Stanton uses Solano County's shared jail visitation rules. Visitors can register in the Visitation Lobby with a valid government-issued picture ID, and remote visiting requires an email address. The county uses iWebVisit for remote scheduling. Visitors must check in at least 15 minutes early, and the county recommends 30 minutes. Visits are 30 minutes long and may be split between two visitors per terminal. Children must stay with an adult at all times.

Only personal identification and keys may be brought into the visit area. Clothing rules bar swimwear, short skirts or shorts above the county limit, halter or see-through tops, excessive flesh exposure, gang clothing, and clothing that shows nudity, drugs, violence, or illegal activity. Visits may be monitored and recorded unless protected professional rules apply, and visits can be canceled or terminated for safety, rule, technical, or behavior reasons.

Stanton Mail and Money

Stanton's non-legal mail uses the Pigeonly central processing format with facility code 1129. Mail sent directly to the facility is limited to legal mail, money orders or cashier's checks, and approved printed materials from a publisher or vendor. Regular letters sent to the jail building instead of the Pigeonly address may be rejected or delayed under county mail rules.

County mail rules prohibit many items, including cash, personal checks, address stickers, Polaroids, sticker photos, stamps, envelopes, lottery tickets, candy, magnets, liquids, glitter, tape, glue, and third-party mail. Inmates may have a maximum of five soft-bound books at a time, and books or publications must come from approved publisher or vendor channels.
